English Teaching Essay

So as mentioned in the Year End Review / What’s Next ? Post, I was attempting to go the route of English teaching assistant to be able to gain employment in another country. Although it didn’t pan out the way I wanted (it happens.) I wanted to create this blog entry about it because of the context of this specific essay I had written for an application. I had started writing this essay the day I was leaving Japan. I was sitting on a bench just staring at a river it was very peaceful and tranquil, yet my drive to achieve this position was so strong at the time. Probably because I was leaving that day and really wanted to stay, but I think it made me work so hard to finish it because I completed writing it in the seating area of my airplane gate number because I wanted to finish what thoughts I had in the location that had given me so much drive.

It can be read below some parts were altered/remove to not give out any personal information.

Question: Why I want to live and work in Japan

I once thought the essay topic of why I want to live and work in Japan to be a difficult question. For me, Japan was once a place of childhood dreams, but after my journey here for a brief moment, I realized there is so much more to this culture than the surface level ideas that I once imagined. With my knowledge of the Japanese language, I was able to conserve with people in their natural language and therefore was able to expand upon my ability to maneuver through the culture. That is what drives me to want to work in Japan to give back. Globalization has made the world significantly smaller with the ability to connect with anybody from any part of the world. Therefore, I am a firm advocate for learning new languages. I want to facilitate pride and a sense of self-confidence in a person when being able to speak another language. To be able to connect and form bonds outside of your social circle allows for an informational renaissance of different cultures and experiences from other people. This allows for the opening up of a person’s world to travel to parts unknown, and if I can be an instrument in their journey, I would gladly play the role. I am a diligent and hardworking person who has adapted quickly to life on multiple occasions outside his native American lifestyle. I see myself becoming a great asset and being able to share my life experiences and journey as a native English speaker while helping them obtain a new skill. Hopefully, during the process, I can gain a better understanding of Japan while working as a productive member a part of it.

It’s been a while…

Hey, it’s been a while since we talked, and I know, I know back in my October 3, 2017, post The Time Travelers…. I wrote, “time to blow off the dust and cobwebs surrounding this old blog and have it running overtime while I’m in Japan.”  What did you all truly get? two posts and I’m sorry for that, but it was In preparation for something larger and I finally get to show to you all. I’m excited. It’s a video! A mini-documentary or vlog,  it’s definitely something in the middle. I’m not going to speak upon it here because I rather have the video speak for its self. Although I do want to say I’m glad that I made it. It means a lot to me to be able to have these experiences and be able to express them in a way that all who come across my blog get to see. whether you are family or friends or just random internet people. Thank you so much for following me on this long almost 3-year journey; back when I was just a student applying for study abroad to now being a person who has traveled to two countries in two years! It has been awesome, the ups and downs made it all worth it. Although like in my October 3 post, I still believe that the future is Infinite but, my goal is to travel more. So, I must work my hardest to make that Infinite more into a definite thing of that happening. Wish me luck.

Thank You For Your Continued Support,
